PHOTAVIA Advisory Council

PHOTAVIA’s Advisory Council brings together leaders from across the senior living, arts, healthcare, and fundraising sectors — professionals who have spent decades building, running, and enriching the communities PHOTAVIA serves. Their collective experience spans community ownership and operations, content development for older adults, life enrichment programming, and nonprofit development. The Council advises PHOTAVIA on strategy, partnerships, and growth as the platform expands its reach in dementia care and senior living engagement.

Robyn Jensen, Chair

Robyn Jensen brings a rare combination of hands-on senior living experience and nonprofit fundraising leadership to PHOTAVIA. A retired fundraising executive, Robyn previously led development efforts at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) and has served as an activity director — giving her a ground-level understanding of the daily engagement needs of older adults. She also owned and operated multiple senior living communities, bringing an operator’s perspective to PHOTAVIA’s growth strategy. Robyn’s longtime friendship with PHOTAVIA founder Bill Appleby dates back to his years running the VP Gallery, where she connected with some of the legendary LIFE magazine photographers whose work now forms the heart of PHOTAVIA’s content library.

Angela Topetzes-Strelka

Angela Topetzes-Strelka is a fundraising executive with more than 35 years of experience in nonprofit development across the arts, social services, and faith-based sectors. Her career includes leadership roles at the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) in Milwaukee, the Julie and Michael Tracy Family Foundation in Chicago, SET Ministry, and the Social Development Commission (SDC), where she directed community relations. Angela’s deep expertise in donor cultivation, major gifts, sponsorships, and capital campaigns brings a critical fundraising lens to PHOTAVIA as the platform scales its partnerships and community reach.

Justine King

Justine King spent years as Content Director at iN2L (now LifeLoop), one of the most widely adopted engagement technology platforms in senior living. In that role, she helped shape the digital content strategy that communities across the country use every day to connect with residents — giving her a firsthand understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and what’s missing in senior living engagement. Justine’s enthusiasm for PHOTAVIA’s storytelling-first approach to dementia care brings valuable industry perspective and content expertise to the Advisory Council.

Josh Silldorff

Josh Silldorff is the founder of BrightLife Innovations, where he developed EasyConnect HD — simplified video-chat software designed specifically for seniors. His career in senior living technology includes serving as an Innovation Consultant for GreatLife Communities and spearheading telehealth initiatives that connected healthcare systems with the skilled nursing communities they serve. Josh brings a builder’s perspective to the Advisory Council — someone who has lived the challenges of bringing new technology into senior living and understands what it takes to earn trust from communities and the families they serve.

Cheryl Dib

Cheryl Dib is CFO and Co-Owner of ND Medical, LLC, a company focused on medical product development, medical patents, and cardiovascular research. A former healthcare professional and owner of multiple healthcare companies, Cheryl brings both operational and financial expertise to the Advisory Council — along with an early investor’s belief in PHOTAVIA’s mission. Her background bridging the business and clinical sides of healthcare gives her a unique vantage point on PHOTAVIA’s path from content platform to scalable health and wellness tool.

Pat Durham

Pat Durham is a nationally recognized life enrichment leader, named the 2020 NAAP National Activity Professional of the Year and the 2016 Wisconsin Activity Professional of the Year. With decades of experience designing and delivering programming for older adults — including specialized dementia care — Pat understands better than most what meaningful engagement looks like in practice. Now with Encore Cares, she continues to champion innovative approaches to resident well-being, making her a natural fit for PHOTAVIA’s mission of bringing therapeutic, story-driven content into the daily lives of seniors and their caregivers.
